Bandwidth

EMI Analyst can take into account the effect of test equipment measurement bandwidths.   When conducted emissions or radiated emissions calculated by EMI Analyst are displayed, the effect of measurement bandwidth is factored into the graphed results.  If desired, bandwidth effects can be bypassed when graphing results.

Tech Note - Measurement Bandwidth

When conducted emissions or radiated emissions are measured in an EMI laboratory the measurement instrument, a spectrum analyzer or EMI receiver, has preset measurement bandwidths.  The bandwidth may change for different frequency ranges.  For most EMI standards, the measurement bandwidth for each frequency range is specified by the regulatory agency.  For example, the bandwidths and frequency ranges shown in the figure above are those specified in MIL-STD-461E.  For a definition of applicable measurement bandwidths refer to the EMI requirements document for your product.
