Capacitance
Enter the offset capacitance in farads. This
capacitance is in parallel with the stray capacitance that exists between the
shield termination conductor and the ground plane. The entered value is
added to the calculated capacitance of the selected termination model. The
offset capacitance may be a correction to the calculated stray capacitance or it
may be the value of a capacitor placed between the end of the shield and ground
in parallel with the shield termination conductor. The offset capacitance
value may be negative, but the sum of the calculated capacitance and the offset
capacitance may not be less than zero. More:
