CE Analyst Model Description

CE Analyst performs conducted emissions calculations by evaluating a conducted emissions model over a range of frequencies specified by the user.  The conducted emissions model is comprised of four major components:

Source

Filter

Conductors

Load

The Source models the current and voltage characteristics of the active circuit that is the source of conducted emissions to be analyzed.

The Filter models components that exist between the Source and the Conductors.  Typically Filter components are intentionally added to the circuit to attenuate conducted emissions produced by the SourceFilter components may be lumped circuit elements, such as resistors, inductors, and capacitors, as well as printed wiring board traces and circuit wiring.

The Conductors are electrical cabling that connects the Filter to the LoadConductors may be a variety of configurations consisting of circular conductors, ground planes, and shields.

The Load models electrical circuitry that is connected to the Conductors.  Loads are comprised of passive circuit components and printed wiring board traces.
