CE Filter
The CE Filter module models passive circuit components
that are inserted between the and the on which flow. Generally the purpose of the is to attenuate conducted emissions produced by the
Source to levels that are below the conducted emissions limit.

Filter circuits are synthesized using the Filter module schematic capture by placing components selected from the
Component Library on a schematic diagram.
Components include resistors, capacitors, inductors, ferrites, coupled
inductors, transformers, and standard impedance networks. Element values
for each component and the placement of components in the schematic diagram are
determined by the user.
The Filter schematic diagram is a ladder network
configuration that provides for differential mode and common mode
components. The filter schematic diagram has terminals on its left-hand
side where the signals from the Source enter the filter, and terminals on its
right-hand side where the filtered signals exit to the conductors.
Once the filter impedance has been calculated the status
bar beneath the Filter button on the
CE Analyst form is changed from red to green. More:
