Change component type

To change the type of component, for example from a resistor to a capacitor, do one of the following:

Double click the component.

Right-click the component and then select Edit from the pop-up menu.

Select the component by clicking it and then select menu Edit | Edit.

The Component Library form will open, displaying the currently selected component.  Select the desired component from the Component Library and set values as desired.  When the Component Library form is closed the selected component will be placed on the schematic at the location of the previously selected component.
