Conducted Emissions Limits

Regulatory agencies specify limits for maximum allowable conducted emissions.  Conducted emissions limits are generally specified in the frequency domain as maximum allowable current or voltage at each frequency over a specified range.  Current is generally specified in units of dBuA; voltage in units of dBuV

For example, the commercial aircraft conducted emissions limit for Category M equipment, specified in document DO-160D, is shown in the following graph.  Conducted emissions measured on each power line individually must be below the limit line to be compliant with the limit.
