Conductor Capacitance
The Capacitance text box displays capacitance between the
shown in the Characteristic Impedance list
box.
Capacitance is a function of numerous parameters, including
proximity to other conductors or conductive surfaces. Thus, capacitance
for equivalent conductor geometries may differ significantly from one
configuration to another. For example, a circular wire pair in free space
will have different capacitance than a circular wire pair over a ground plane,
even if the diameters and spacing of the conductors are the same.
