Field Illumination Angles

Field illumination angles for the RS Source form are defined relative to x-, y-, and z-axes defined as follows:

The x-axis is horizontal on the plane of the form.  A value of 0-degrees for Rotation about X-axis corresponds to the incident wave traveling in a direction parallel to the ground plane.

The y-axis is vertical on the plane of the form.  A value of 0-degrees for Rotation about Y-axis corresponds to the incident wave traveling in a direction perpendicular to the conductors.

The z-axis is orthogonal to the plane of the form.  Relative to the setup diagram on the RS Source form, the z-axis follows the perspective from lower-left to upper-right.

Three preset field directions are available from the Tools menu: Broadside, End Fire, and Side Fire.
