Filter Function
Filters in EMI
Analyst are circuits comprised of passive electrical components.
Generally, the purpose of a is to attenuate
unwanted signals. However, a filter can also amplify signals in select
frequency ranges.
In the CE Analyst and RE Analyst applications
of EMI Analyst the filter is positioned between the and the Conductors. In most cases the job of the filter is
to attenuate the signals produced by the Source so that the signal levels that
reach the Conductors are below the limit and/or don't produce that exceed the radiated emissions
limit.
