Open Circuit

The Open Circuit component has constant impedance over frequency.  Electrically, the Open Circuit component behaves as an Ideal Resistor.

The Open Circuit component is available for shunt schematic diagram components.  The default Open Circuit value is 1E12 ohms.

To calculate and graph the impedance of the Open Circuit component over the frequency range selected on the Frequency Range form, click the Graph button on the Component Library form toolbar or select menu Tools | Graph.

To change the Open Circuit value, select the present value, enter the desired value, and click the OK button.  When the OK button is clicked the Open Circuit is placed on the schematic diagram.  If the Close button is clicked the Component Library form closes with no changes to the schematic diagram.
