Overview
EMI Analyst performs calculations to predict the
electromagnetic interference characteristics of electrical and electronic
systems and equipment. In order to perform these calculations a model of
the circuit under investigation is built using EMI Analyst modeling tools, which allow the user to enter physical
electrical, and mechanical parameters that are commonly available to the design
engineer. EMI Analyst translates these parameters into
electromagnetic characteristics needed to perform interference predictions.
EMI Analyst has been designed so that the user does
not have to be an expert in electromagnetic interference to take full advantage
of its powerful analysis capabilities. Rudimentary knowledge of EMI
requirements and EMI testing configurations is needed in order to properly
construct the analysis models, but this information is generally available in
EMI requirements documents, such as MIL-STD-461, RTCA/DO-160, EN55022, EN55011,
EN61000-series documents, and other agency EMI requirements documents. Basic
knowledge of electrical and electronic circuits is required. More:
