Regulatory Agency Requirements

Since the 1960s the United States military has required radiated susceptibility testing.  Starting in 1996 all electronic products marketed in Europe, including household electronics, must meet radiated immunity tests.  The Federal Aviation Administration requires testing of all electronic systems aboard commercial aircraft to be immunity to electromagnetic interference.
