RE Model

Radiated emissions are calculated by modeling an electronic circuit in such a way that the radio frequency electric fields radiated from its conductors can be determined and displayed.

The RE model consists of eight modules.  Circuit simulation is defined by the four core modules, illustrated in the following figure.

Source

Filter

Conductors

Load

If the conductors are shielded, two other modules are required to complete the circuit definition:

Shield Transfer Impedance and

Shield Termination

The remaining two modules,

Frequency and

Limit,

provide operating boundary information.

Each of these modules can be accessed from the RE Analyst form when the RE Analyst tab is selected.  If a module is not needed, its button on the RE Analyst form is disabled.
