RE Source
The RE Source module models active
circuitry that is the of the , which is the source of . Current and voltage waveforms in
the time domain are converted to their frequency domain equivalents using
Discrete Fourier Transform (DFT) methods.

All active circuits, i.e. circuits that contain components
that dynamically change current or voltage levels as a function of their normal
operation, generate radiated emissions. The amplitude and frequency
content of the radiated emissions is a function of the voltage and current
waveforms on the connected to the active
circuit.
Radiated emissions most often pertain to noise
(unintentional RF current or voltage) on power lines that supply a circuit or
equipment, or noise on signal or control lines, which may also contain current
or voltage waveforms that have
content. Once the source current and voltage spectrums have been
calculated the status bar beneath the Source button on the RE
Analyst form is changed from red to green. More:
