RS Analyst Project
RS Analyst is selected by clicking the RS Analyst
tab on the EMI Analyst Main form. The RS Analyst form,
shown in the figure below, is the main user interface when performing analyses.
If RS Analyst is the only EMI Analyst
application installed the RS Analyst form will open when EMI
Analyst is started. If applications in the EMI Analyst suite
other than RS Analyst are installed, for example RE Analyst, the
RS Analyst form is opened by selecting the RS Analyst tab.

The buttons across the upper-middle of the form open
modules that allow the RS analysis to be configured and to simulate the circuit
under investigation. A graph beneath each status bar summarizes the
results from that module. There is no summary graph for the Frequency
module. The diagram on the bottom half of the form illustrates the
configuration of the circuit under analysis.
When a new RS Analyst project is initiated the
status bars beneath each button on the RS Analyst form are red, the
summary graphs are not present, and the configuration diagram is shown as a
generic black and white outline drawing. A red status bar indicates that
that module has not been completed.
As each module is completed the status bar is changed to
green. Simultaneously the corresponding summary graph is displayed and the
portion of the configuration diagram for that module is converted from black and
white outline drawing to gradient color, as in the figure above. Modules
are completed by clicking the module button on the RS Analyst form,
entering values on the module form, and performing applicable calculations.
When the module form is closed the program returns to the RS
Analyst form. More:
