Source Overview

Sources in EMI Analyst are the current and voltage waveforms that are responsible for conducted emissions and radiated emissions.  These are the same waveforms that one would see using an oscilloscope.  If measured oscilloscope waveforms are available they may be imported into EMI Analyst.  If not, waveforms can be synthesized using EMI Analyst's built-in waveform functions.  Source current and voltage are a function of numerous variables related to the circuit under investigation.  Often these characteristics can be gleaned from manufacturer data sheets or from measurements performed on representative circuits.
