Biplanar Capacitance

Biplanar Capacitance

Biplanar Capacitance Model
Capacitance between two biplanar flat conductors is:
CapacitanceBiplanarFormula
Units: Farads

Description
The capacitance calculated using this tool is the capacitance between two biplanar flat conductors.

Assumptions and Limitations
Conductors are assumed to be flat and parallel over their surfaces.
Conductors are assumed to be negligibly thin.
Conductors are assumed to be sufficiently large and sufficiently close together that the effects of fringing fields at the edge of the conductors may be ignored.
Conductors are assumed to be separated by a homogeneous medium having permittivity e=e0er and permeabilityu=u0.

Constants
Permeability of free space: Formula, Permeability of Free Space H/m
Permittivity of air: Formula, Permittivity of Air F/m
