EMI Analyst™ is the long awaited answer to the working electromagnetic compatibility engineer’s desire for a comprehensive software package to address the four fundamental areas of EMC: conducted emissions, radiated emissions, conducted susceptibility, and radiated susceptibility. EMI Analyst™ allows the engineer to model the relevant equipment or system parameters (including intentional source and load L, R, and C values, parasitic reactances, non-ideal components, and system cabling). The user can set his own test limits, or can input standard limits from published EMC specifications.

Each of the four sub-packages in EMI Analyst™ (CE Analyst™, RE Analyst™, CS Analyst™, and RS Analyst™) is laid out in a rational fashion, subdivided into input and analysis blocks entitled, Frequency, Limit, Source, Filter, Conductor, Shield Transfer (Impedance), Shield Termination, and Load. Depending upon which of the four sub-packages of the EMI Analyst™ software is being used for a given analysis, the user is presented with one of an additional four calculation options: Calculate Conducted Emissions, Calculate Radiated Emissions, Calculate Conducted Susceptibility, or Calculate Radiated Susceptibility.

EMI Analyst™ should be helpful in analyzing, understanding, and designing equipment and systems with electromagnetic compatibility concerns properly considered. This software should also be quite helpful for EMC training.

In my personal experience as a customer of EMI Software, LLC, the technical support has been excellent. My questions, comments, and concerns have consistently been addressed with impressive speed, courtesy, and thoroughness.
